How are the Steaks at Captains Grille

Have decided to switch our yachtsmen reservation to flying fish - thinking of going to captain's grille. how are the steaks there and how to they compare to other restaurants (Le Cellier, etc)

I had a steak at Captain's Grille last September & I was really looking forward to it based on the reviews I read, but I must say I was REALLY disappointed! The steak was very thin & overcooked. I had the ribeye. Mabye the NY strip is better. My son had the crab legs & they were fabulous! I wish I had ordered those! Next time I will. This may have been a off night for them but I was really not impressed with the steak.....

my steak snob fiance had the new bourbon ny strip and realllllllly liked it. he substituted the chedder bacon mashed potatoes in place of the herb roasted potatoes and liked those too!

i'm the crab leg eater... so i always have to go here or cape may cafe. he said he doesn't care to go back to cape may cafe when he can have a great steak at captain's grille. for me.... as long as i have crab i'm happy

but seriously... the atmosphere is laid back, they have the BEST crab cake you'll ever eat here too!! can't wait to have it again in may!!

Thanks for the info!! We are eating here on our trip & I was hoping for some delicious crab cakes at this restaurant! I looooove crab too & there just aren't many crab cakes at the non signature restaurants!
Now I know where to go!!

We had good food there in November. My steak was really good. It is not the same caliber as the YSH but we thought it was very good. No bad reports from any of us.
