How about a NO KIDS WEEKEND?!?!?!?!

They actually should have late EMH for adults only seeing as the kids are supposed to be in bed. They could wheel out some kegs of beer, etc. into MK and have a giant street party.

now that sounds fun!! kirsangel you are officially in charge of making this happen!:drinking1

however-- ewwww- imagine after a few beers you get all kinds of brave and try riding Space Mountain!! :lmao: :faint: and we all follow! :rotfl2:

The difference here is that gay weekend...wine and food, etc. does not exclude anyone. There is no rule that says heteros cannot go on gay days! The point is, there should not be a time when anyone is excluded from Disney.

You made some very good points and I agree. I know this post is all in fun, but this is an interesting take on it. For me personally, I will always think of Disney as a family vacation destination. Call me a sentimentalist or even "crazy" but IMHO, kids are what make it magical for me. :thumbsup2

And, if the strollers bother you, would you also exclude wheel chairs from this weekend? Or, would the adults have to leave their rolling packbacks home? I suppose it would have to be a "Adults who are ambulatory and have no possesions they wish to carry in the park" weekend. The point is, there should not be a time when anyone is excluded from Disney.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
really rowled you up with that one..

guess you are the perpetrator of the rolling backpacks

Thank you all - Jeanie, Dep, Susan, Lindsay, and any others I may have missed - for supporting me. SHEESH it was ONLY a simple post....people really need lives. lol

Ok, I have a great idea. I think Disney should make a designated NO KIDS weekend!!!! How great would that be? No screaming, no whining, no hissy-fits!!! Just a bunch of adults getting to enjoy the attractions in peace & quiet!
Um, the only problem with that is that most of the screaming, whining, and hissy-fits I've seen in WDW are from adults. :rotfl2:

I would not be interested in a kids-free weekend, as I PERSONALLY would never go to WDW without my minor children. Once they were grown, I'd consider it.

i'm glad i didn't go when you did! whenever i go it's usually the younger creatures going nutso! and yes, i agree wheelchairs can be dangerous too. considering my mom is in one and my dad hacked me at the ankles at least 40 times a day in the parks over xmas! but at least him i could yell at and smack upside his bald head. :rotfl2: couldn't do that to a stranger's little 2 year old with the dirty sticky smiling face  :stir:

LOL i can't believe i'm quoting myself but before the mad flames come :furious: i am kidding folks!!!! take a little joke... tee hee... i kid i kid! (well, sorta. lololololol)

Wow, I can't believe THIS thread got flamed by people. I think it would be a cool idea! It could be during the off-season, when kids are in school...like the first couple weeks of September. OR they could always keep the park open past closing for only 21+...that would be cool too. 12AM - 5AM, adults only for just one weekend a year. I'd be there.

HA! :rotfl2: quoting yourself-- now THATS funny. :lmao:

HEY after you read your own quote-- were you PO'd at yourself that you wrote it!? becasue you know that "yourger creatures" and slapping a bald person in the head (OMG especially a BALD person in a wheelchair!) can be very controversial! (personally i think both comments are stinkin funny!!!) :lmao:

ahhh i love to laugh at silly things! :rotfl:

I went with a group of friends this past Dec for a week. I was the youngest one in the group, going on 50. It was fun. There were still lots of kids around, but it also seemed like there were lots of adults with no kids. Don't get me wrong. I've been there 4 times with kids and had a wonderful time. Hope to go back again with kids soon, but it was nice to have an adult week. You get a different look on things. :)

Wow! I can't believe some of the responses to this thread!

Please, everyone, just take our comments as a "Wouldn't it be cool if . . ." daydream. We're not saying that kids should be banned every day at Disney. Just because I have no kids myself does not mean that I hate them!

I have often thought it would be nice to have a kid-free day at WDW (no screaming, no tantrums, no strollers bumping into you, no rowdy/rude teenagers to deal with, etc.). My Disney friends and I have talked about this before. I can't see it ever happening for real, but it's nice to dream!

Madhatir.....

Only a JERSEY guy would understand!!! :cheer2: You rock!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

love the idea! Just a weekend, that's all. I would be there with bells on.

I do think, however, that the thrills on the kids' faces add to my enjoyment of WDW even though I don't have my own kids. I get a kick out of watching the children. I really do. But, that doesn't mean I would be psyched up about the idea of a kids-free weekend. It would be kinda' cool to not hear the crying, screaming, hissy-fits. You're right. But, I think I could only stand it for a couple of days. Then I would want to see the joy on their faces.

100% all for a "kid free' idea!!! Hey I'm the person who gets away form our kids about twice a year, and it never fails, DH and I go out for dinner, and are sat next to screamin whinny kids. I'd pay more to eat at restaurants without kids! Hey they have smoking and non smoking, could they offer kids and no kids???????

By the way I have 3 ages 13, 9 and 18 months. Si I love kids, just not al of the time!!!

And I think Camping Griswalds just came up with the idea of the century: Smoking/Non-Smoking section? Kids/No Kids section?? AWESOME!!!!!!
