We are thinking of buying a DVC but one of my favorite parts of vacation is not making beds and not cleaning bathrooms, if you want housekeeping more often than every four days, how much does it cost?

Daily Housekeeping Rates
Studio $25 per day
1 Bed $30 per day
2 Bed $40 per day
GV $60 per day

To come in and do Trash & Towel in any size unit $10

The full housekeeping that includes making the beds and cleaning is not every four days. If your stay is less than 8 nights you get Trash & Towel on Day 4. This means emptying the trash and bringing fresh towels and replenishing some of the other supplies. If your stay is 8 nights or longer, on Day 4 you get a ful cleaning and on day 8 you get the Trash & Towel. This cycle repeats every 4 days.

If my stay is Sun to following Mon - eight nights, then am I correct in my understanding that we will get full cleaning on Wednesday and Trash and Towel on Sun? I've been thinking of asking this but forgot to do it, and so I guess this is my opportunity.

LSUTigger -- That sounds right to me. There should be a notation on your confirmation that tells when you'll get T&T and full cleanings.

For those who move around resort to resort or room size to room size, the 8 night minimum has to be in the same villa, not just eight nights at a DVC.

From my experience, T & T is day 4 and full cleaning is day 8, not the other way around.

DVC did reverse the schedule several years ago for people who are staying longer. It makes more sense to give the room a cleaning mid-trip rather than a day or two before check-out. If your stay is LESS than 8 nights you only get T&T and this happens on Day 4. The full cleaning/T&T schedule is laid out in the Member Guidebook. If you'd like the cleanings done in different order or on different days, housekeeping will sometimes work with you to make a change.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll find out when we are there next week! I'll report back. I don't remember there being a notation on the confirmation sheet. I guess I'll try to remember to ask at check-in so I won't be "suprised". I does make more sense to have the full cleaning on day 4 of our 8 night stay than the day before we check out. Clean towels on that day don't make a whole lot of sense either, but that's okay.

Not sure how they do it on longer trips, but we are here for a full week and had trash and towel today which is our 4th day. Hope this helps.

WDWLVR -- I'm assuming you checked in Saturday (Tuesday is the 4th day). If you are checking out on Saturday this is correct. If you are checking out on Sunday or later, you should have had a full cleaning today and would get a T&T on Saturday.
