House Painting - Need Input :)

I "need" to get a few rooms in my house painted.

I got an offer from one company. Then another company's offer.

Basically, if I do just the main room, one company is about $200 cheaper. If I decide to do 2 or more rooms, the other company actually comes out cheaper. Makes no sense to me, but that's how the numbers are running.

Now I feel stuck, lol. I was kind of hoping one of the companies would just come out much more ahead of the other company to help make my decision easier. (My problem is I always fall in "like" with the sales people, lol, and feel like I'm going to hurt someone's feelings when I say no!) Sad, but true!

Any thoughts? Only the 1 main room really needs to be done. The other 2 rooms are just a luxury at this point to have painted, lol. I hope this makes sense!

It's been my experience that the more rooms painted the cheaper it is for each room. It's much easier for a Company to go to a house and setup once to paint for an entire week than it is to have to a new house each day. Therefore those savings are passed onto the consumer as an incentive.

If you think the other 2 rooms would need to be done w/i 2 years it's probably worth having them done now and saving you money in the end.

We decided to go with the one room for now and put the saved money towards new furniture, or heck, maybe an extra week at WDW.
