Had it been me having the younger brother, wife & *4 kids* (that's a LOT of extra people!) coming for the length of time you mentioned, this is what I'd have done: Gotten the crock pot out & cranked out a huge amount of spaghetti or a roast with potatoes & gravy. Kept it in the fridge till needed. Had on hand all types of sandwich makings & microwavable breakfasts along with all types of drinks & juices. A few popular snacks thrown in for good luck! I just don't see getting by any other way.....unless you want to take everyone out! I was just taught this was the way to behave when opening up your home to guests.
*For one who can't, or doesn't like to cook, you can always pick up frozen Lasagna or similar type meals that will feed a crowd. Nothing wrong with that.* And for those who "complain" about not liking what I serve, I wouldn't let that bother me a bit....remember, sandwich makings are in the kitchen!
