DS & I will visit my mom (in assited living) for 2 days then stay at the Pier on Sun/Monday.

- 2 1/2 days at park. (Arriving at 7am Sun.)

- Bought an Annual Pass (which i'll use probably for 5 or 7 total days. :))

- AP rate at the Pier of $129 per night. :woohoo:

- No Concierge available. "We're sorry Mr. Hound.....your family depleted a month supply of uncrustables, cookies, cokes & meat snacks the last time you were here....NO Concierge for you! :snooty: ".

- Mrs. Hound says twice (to DLR) this year was enough (for her) so it was gonna be a "guy" trip.....then the best news......DD 25 (who hasn't even done a Disney trip with her brother yet) decided she wanted to come. :dance3:

- One quick SW frequent flyer ticket later, & I got my old Rock&Roller Coaster (daredevil extraordinaire) partner with me. (& she hasn't done Walt's park since she was 7 y/o).

- So the Hound family is going Comando (uh...we'll have clothes on)...but no stinkin' shopping, no sit down meals, no strolling thru DTD....just corny dogs, macadamia nut cookies & dole whips (& 10 other snackies) & RIDES, RIDES, RIDES....BABY!

Note - Defcon 4 was prior to Haley Belle's announcement that she's coming....this post just might take it up to Defcon 5. :scared1:

Can't wait. :thumbsup2

Congratulations Hound! AP rates are the best! :thumbsup2

The Coolpool Posse :dance3: is going to be there Sunday and Monday; don't clog our lines. :tiptoe:

Alice better be open, dangit.

Hey Hound, have you called them about concierge rates today? The hotel calendar on the AP site shows availability at PP concierge for 169 on Sun and Mon.... "call us at (714) 520-5006"....

I'll be there on Sunday, last day of this trip, with red-headed 3 year old, hubby, brother and SIL (they will very likely be wearing Duke gear or at least Duke blue, as they ALWAYS do). Say hi if you see us. :)

I will be there with friend's from OK on Monday and Tuesday!! We will be in pretty much commando mode too!! It will be four adults and on DD7...I hope to beat my record of riding ToT 6 times in one day!!!!
See you all there!! Depending on the weather, we may be wearing tie-dye Mickey T-shirts and being obnoxious!!! Okay, no matter the weather, we will be obnoxious. Somehow my best friend and I make close friends with photopass CM's and ham it up...a lot!!!
One in our group will be a DL virgin, so we are making him do EVERYTHING!!!!!! Oh, and we are cheap...staying at the Park Vue, but now am wondering if I can get a room at one of the resorts for not all that much more....hmm...note to self, check out the website pronto!!!

I can't wait!!! Amy :cheer2: :cheer2:

Then it's DEFINITELY at DEFCON 5. :rotfl:

We'll see ya at the GCH pool with our ice chest & flip flops on Cool Pool. ;)

I'm on hold right now, Bumbershoot. (thanks)

:cool1:  :hippie: :woohoo: :dance3: :yay:

Woo Hoo!!! Thanks Bumbershoot!!!

Concierge it is!!!! ($169 per night + the usual tax n stuff)

They better order the uncrustables & mickey treats...cause we're gonna do some SERIOUS damage. :thumbsup2

Hey Bumbershoot, we'll wait till you all get to the front of the Nemo line....then the Hound family will come up & say "Hey". :cool1:

We have actually had very good luck with Nemo, so we might be the people to follow into the line!

Though it also tends to rain around us.

I'm glad I could help...just the other day they threw a TON of dates back into the concierge "pool" on the AP site, and I got all jealous b/c I prepaid for Anabella through Travelocity and didn't want the hassle of starting over (and paying scads more, of course). But that jealousy stuck with me, and I'm glad I remembered it b/c it helped you guys out!

But if I see you in the parks (not sure how, since I haven't seen a picture) I'm stealing a concierge bottle of water from ya. Keep the uncrustables, though, we're not big fans...:rotfl:

The Mrs. doesn't know what she's missin' out on. LOL

I hope my girls will still love the mouse that much at 25...Who am I kidding?! Probably more. I can see DD8 going to school down there just because of DL.

Have fun!

Have fun!

And can I just say how jealous I am that you are so excited about going. I wish I could get my husband to want to go. If my kids were older I'd take them by myself but I can't see myself with a 4 and 2 year old and no help. People would think I had lost my mind.

Have an awesome trip, Hound! Say hi to Toadie for me! :wave2:

Thanks DangerMouse. :goodvibes

No limo on this trip...renting a cheapie hound-rentalmobile. :)

I'll give Toadie your best & will also say Hi to your buddy Yetti (what's his name?) on Matterhorn. :thumbsup2

hound - :hippie:

We check into PP conceirge Tuesday (should arrive about 11) Don't eat all the snacks before we get there. Maybe we will see you there. It's me (40 something mom with sassy 7 year old and 50something god mother......)

That would be HAROLD. Just make sure you see him after the track has gotten warmed up and is running fast.

Good for you on getting concierge! That should save you a few bucks on churros and dole whips. ;)

The "deals" on the resorts rates are for AP, Amy. I went ahead & bought an AP for $259 figuring two 3 day trips would be break even.....but AP gets me the occasionally low, low, resort rate (which gets me EE all days).

Sounds like a motley crew will be touring Walt's park next week. (Heck, half a dozen families just in this thread. :dance3: ).

I'll see some of you at 8:04 am at Peter Pan. (for us on Monday) :hippie:

The Mrs. doesn't know what she's missin' out on. LOL

I hope my girls will still love the mouse that much at 25...Who am I kidding?! Probably more. I can see DD8 going to school down there just because of DL.

Have fun!

Thanks!

She likes DL, but she wants to do some Christmas stuff with her sisters here in Austin. We went in March & June & will probably go again in March or May.

My daughter is getting married in June, so this will be our last trippie with her as a single girl.....she's more of a ride junkie than a Princess. When i suggested a possible Disney wedding, she howled. (We're doing an all-inclusive in Mex. so she & her buddies can party......I stopped drinking years ago, so i'll have to try to get my money's worth at the food & dessert tables. :thumbsup2

Thanks todzwife. :goodvibes

But i don't hunt, i don't do yards, i don't know how to turn a screwdriver...i'm basically hopeless.

But...we like sports (golf, skiing, baseball etc.) & we like traveling.....especially parks where we can RIDE, RIDE, RIDE. :yay:

DLR happens to be the first & the best. :thumbsup2

Yeah....right! Abby.

You'll be lucky if theres some carrots & cauliflower left in the Concierge after we've been there 3 days. :lmao:

We should be easy to spot. 50 y/o graying 6' 200 lb. hound with a beautiful 25 y/o petite blonde daughter & my 8 y/o Korean son who is smarter (& cuter) than any 8 y/o has a right to be.

But we all eat like field hands. :rotfl:

See you all there. :thumbsup2

We'll be APing at the PP, too! When I called today they said they didn't have concierge availability, but the AP website is showing it as available during the last three nights of our five night stay. I'm going to have to call again first thing in the morning. :confused3 We arrive on Saturday and head back home on Thursday.
