What is your favorite hotel. Mine is the Contemporary. Because it is so close to the MK. And the transportation

Since I'm a DVC owner that's mine before that I loved the Disney Inn now called Shades Of Green it was great.Big rooms, great pool, wonderful staff and dining was also great.

I have only stayed at the Shades of Green and would never stay anywhere else. The rooms are huge! The hotel is beautiful, I can't wait to go next year when the renovations are done.

Polynesian, the greatest, been staying there since 1993.

I really liked Animal Kingdom Lodge... after that i would have to say Beach Club or something like that.

I love the Boardwalk, and that's where we own for DVC -- so much to do and so much fun!

My husband is fascinated with the Poly -- he thinks it's the only hotel where the theming really transports you to another place.

The Port Orleans is near and dear to us, since we stayed there on our honeymoon.

But, I'm convinced if we ever stayed in AKL, that WOULD become our new favorite. We love animals, African decor, etc., and are sure we'd fall in love with it.

So many choices!!!

I want to stay at the animal kingdom lodge. How are the animals. About how many different kinds of animals are there?

Another vote for the AKL for all the above reasons plus it is quiet.
There are a lot of animals and I would not guess at how many. They are different ones then found in the park and it is so neat to sit on your balconly and watch them at any time of the day.

AKL is the absolute best to DS and myself. We like ASMo for the theming and I enjoyed GF in January when I took my oldest niece.

I really loved our Savannah view room at AKL and I love the Dolphin

We stayed at both the WL and AKL during the same trip....ANIMAL KINGDOM hands down....no comparison whatsoever..

Polynesian (um, obviously), although the Wilderness Lodge is really growing on me more and more, so I think they are tied now.

My favorite Moderate is PO-R.

Our current favorite is the Swan & Dolphin for the location - location - location

But I really want to try both the GF and The Polynesian!

Polynesian is are favorite (we've been staying there since 1983) but we also loved are two holiday trips to the GF. BCV is wonderful too except for the lack of a 24 hour snack bar. B&C takes forever, has so few options, and has short hours compared to monorail hotels.

We have stayed at the AKL, GF, POR, and the Fort Wilderness Cabins. I loved the cabins for the convenience, but the Grand has to be my favorite.....hands down....a little pricey but worth it (at least once) .

Anyone ever stayed in a vacation home? (premier)?

I've stayed at the Yacht Club and loved it.

We are DVC members and need the room of a 2 bedroom villa with our family of 6 now, though. So, I'd say BWV until we stay at the new Beach Club Villas this June. Stormalong Bay cannot be beat!!

Just remember, a "favorite" resort varies so much by the personality of the person. For example, DH and I have taken close to 10 trips together, visiting 5 different resorts. His favorite is OKW, mine is BCV. Two people in the same room, same experiences, different favorites. And last year on a solo trip I stayed at AKL. I was so impressed that I took him over to see it last summer. He liked it, but wasn't terribly enthused. So go figure! Everyone's different!
