We're planning my son's first Disneyland trip for his fourth birthday next year. Having grown up in AZ, I'm pretty familiar with Disneyland and some of the hotels. However, my son has several and pretty severe food allergies, so eating out presents a challenge. I hear Disney is great about accommodating food allergies, but I would really like to stay in a hotel room with a kitchen so we can prepare most of his meals.

I found the Residence Inn by Marriott, but it doesn't appear to be within a short walking distance. I'm hoping the members of this board might have some tips on hotels I should check out.

Thank you!

The Tropicana, which is just across Harbor Blvd from Disneyland (next door to the Best Western Park Place Inn) says on their web site that they have two-bedroom kitchen suites available. This page has info on their rooms:

I've stayed in a regular room at the Tropicana and it was just fine. I think they have one of the nicer pool areas of the hotels that are right on Harbor.

We have stayed at the Residence Inn Maingate and love their full kitchens. Under a 1/2 mile walk and has always been a nice place to stay. Love the breakfast and they will grocery shop for you.

Disney's Villas at the Grand Californian have full kitchens (in the 1-bedroom and larger) or kitchenettes (in the studios).

NO, the Peacock does NOT have a full kitchen, they have a small fridge and a microwave and that's it......we stay there often, we own a timeshare with Shell and we use it here most often.
