hotels with good, convenient shuttle

hi! what hotels are close to disney that have reasonable shuttles? meaning, more than just once in the morning and once at night to bring you back and forth? dbf and i are considering flying down and we aren't old enough to rent a car without paying a ridiculous amount of money. we're trying to gauge our options before picking where to stay for sure.

thoughts, opinions, experiences?

The ones that start with "Disney's ..." in their name, as in "Disney's POP Century Resort." None of the non-Disney resorts have shuttles that I would consider to be "reasonable". The closest are the DTD-Area resorts, and maybe Bonnet Creek, but even then, it's not nearly as convenient as WDW transportation.

If you want to stay offsite, you really want to have a car. If you aren't going to rent a car, you probably want to stay in one of Disney's resorts.

(The Swan and Dolphin would be okay too---they are not Disney owned, but do have "regular" Disney transportation, though you'd have to pay a car service or taxi to get you from/to the airport.)

We just got back from a stay at the Hilton DTD. They had park shuttles every 30 minutes throughout the day, and though the service is shared with other hotels, you are always the first ones picked up and dropped off. Plus, at that particular hotel, you can still take advantage of Extra Magic Hours.

We payed $96/night (including parking) and were quite pleased. To get a comparable room at a Disney owned hotel would have been at least 3 times as much, and probably more.

There is no way will I stay at a Disney owned place again unless my employer pays for it. IMHO, the comparison is no contest.
