We stayed at the Del Sol in May and will be staying there again in September. It was OK, but we do like the Desert Inn better. We had a kid's room (note, they are not suites) and it was crowded with the two queens and bunk bed. We are are very aware of space - with an ECV, wheelchair and a stroller in our group. It was tight, but not so unreasonable that we aren't planning on doing it again!
I believe that both Desert Inn and Del Sol have the same owners, their breakfast selections and reservation confirmations would seem to validate that as well. The Del Sol does not have elevators, so if you are traveling with a wheelchair or ECV, you'll want to request a ground-floor room. The Desert Inn does have a (slow) elevator.
