Hotel Towels?

Do you take home hotel towels?

I Did that too! I have taken home the two little towel animals left on our bed. One was of a bunny and one was a mice. They looked like they were made of a wash cloth. I would never take home a regular towel. That's just silly. Why would anyone want them? They aren't that comfy, who knows who has used them, and it is just wrong. Of course I am probably going to be busted on the two animal towels I took. YES I CONFESS! You can flame me now!

Considering where those wash cloths have possibly been, that's the LAST item of toweling I'd remove from a hotel... :crazy2:

When I was at Pop Century for a night 3 weekends ago there was a sign that said to take your room towels to the pool if you were going to need one because they didn't have them down there. There was also a bin for used towels... That being said it would be hard to know what stayed atbthe pool or went home. Myself, I'm a but picky about my towels and would have no desire to a WDW towel !

Kind of a Freudian slip?;)

Guests, I hope not many, have been stealing towels for years. The only way towel theft could honestly be used as a reason to increase rates if if a hotel changes to a much more expensive towel, if the cost to purchase towels increases or if the theft rate increases. I doubt any apply.

I picture a guest stealing as many towels as could fit into his suitcase having to either pay to check an overweight suitcase or being embarrassed when he has to open the suitcase and discard the towels which were responsible for the overweight bag.

Actually, with the cost of cotton shooting up the way it has, many cotton goods have gone up in cost. I know the stores around here have been marking up towels, and underwear, and jeans.

So I wouldn't be suprised if in the not so distant future there is some kind of rate increase for WDW resorts. Or for park tickets. Some way to make up for what has to be an increased cost for them.

Perhaps but the increase in the cost of energy will probably contribute to an increase in hotel rates more then an increase in the cost of towels.

Our Mousekeeper told us to take home the towel animals. We were staying CL but I was surprised we were allowed to take them home
