Hotel Security

Now our next trip is getting closer I am looking for some info from people who have recently visited...

As part of the trip i want to visit other hotels, e.g Gaylord Palms and the new Grande Lakes resorts.

Last year when we visited Boardwalk (which we will do again this time) the securtiy guard on the gate asked for ID - which we did not have - he did let us in after we convinced him of out innocence but I am wondering if this level of security is still in force and if so do people take passports or copies etc ?

We were still asked for ID at all the Disney resorts we visited (by car) when we were there in May. We always carry our passports with us anyway (as we still occasionally get carded in bars), although if we had the photo drivers licences, we would use those instead.

There is no security gate at the Gaylord Palms, so you won't need it there.
