hotel royal plaza

we have resv for hotel royal plaza from 9/14/02-09/21/02 but saw the rate for the courtyard for $25. we got a rate for $89 for a poolside room at the hrp that includes buffet breakfast every morning. wondering what the differences in the two hotels are. and if it is even worth staying in these hotels since they dont seem to have any extra perks to stay in non disney wdw hotels.

We just got back this week and stayed @ the Hotel Royal Plaza for 2 nites. We had the mousesaver rate of $69 (no pool view) but included the buffet breakfast. Personally, I wouldn't stay here again. If you have children, I didn't think it had much to offer. The pool is okay...but no bells & whistles. Disney has better ones. They also charge an $8 resort fee....again not worth it to me. The Marriott courtyard is right next door and seemed like a much better deal @ 20.02/nite.

I have stayed at both of these resorts and liked them both, but for the money I would stay at the Courtyard by Marriott. The $25.00 deal is awesome.

While the HRP seems to be a bit nicer, neither one offers more amenities than the other, the pool areas are similar and they are in the same neighborhood which is very convenient to Downtown Disney. For the $25 rate I would jump at the Marriott.
