Greetings everyone. I am new to the board and I am sure that I am probably going to ask about something that is somewhere on this site already. Patience please :) After much deliberation we have decided to take our trip of a lifetime on the Magic 2/7/04. We are very excited and I am trying to soak up as much information as possible before we travel. We live near Florida so we have opted to drive our own vehicle. Can anyone suggest a reasonable hotel near the port? How about hotels that might let you keep your vehicle there instead of parking at port? Like I said, I am pretty sure this topic is covered somewhere but I have to admit I am a little overwhelmed by the amount of information available. We just booked our cruise today. Cat 10 guaranteed and we are hoping for an upgrade. We will keep our fingers crossed. Thanks in advance for your patience and help!

CONGRATULATIONS on booking your cruise!! :sunny:

Dave has a great web site that, among other things, lists all of the hotels right there near the Port. Here's a link to that page, on his site. I know that the Radisson does allow you to park there all week while you're on the cruise, for no additional charge. Whichever room you book, you get the free parking for the whole week, you do not have to specifically book the cruise package to get this.

Hey, we're on the same cruise. The Radisson at Port Canaveral costs about $85 per night on line (yes, there are bigger, fancier rooms that cost more). They allow you to park there while on the cruise and shuttle you to the port free. SInce port parking is $10 a day, you are really getting a good deal.

An alternative is to stay at a place near Orlando, which you can easily do for $30 on Priceline. However, you are then paying for parking at the port.

The Quality Suites is a sister hotel to the Radisson. You can also stay there and drive to the Radisson, leave car at Radisson and catch the shuttle.

There is no need to book one of the more expensive "cruise packages." They allow any guest to leave a car, not just those on the cruise deal.

How old are your kids?
