Hotel Kingdom came through!!

I reserved a room with Hotel Kingdom over the weekend for Amerisuites/Calypso Cay for $51.75. Not bad for a King Suite - stayed in Amerisuites before (VA) and were pleased with them, so went for it at the cheap rate. Well, found a cheaper rate of $49 on Valuetrips, called up Hotel Kingdom, told them, and they re-negotiated my rate to $43.88/night! They also told me that I would get a $10 voucher for my next ressie using them. I said ok. Then Victoria (very nice girl) told me they were going to credit $10.00 back to my credit card deposit also (so now my downpayment is only 7.25). WOW! I got a cheaper rate, plus $10 credit back PLUS a $10 voucher for my next time using Hotel Kingdom (which I will - need to take a trip in Nov for a weekend in PA so I will see if I can use it there). Oh yeah - I still get credited on my Amerisuites membership mileage thing. Not bad - I owe you guys a big thank you for letting me know about those sites! I was originally at the HIFS for $76/night, but this is almost half of that - hope I'll be happy there.

Awesome rate! You worked hard for it, too. I think you will be very happy there considering what you are paying. Remember that you can go over to the Country Inn and Suites for their breakfast, too, if it is crowded or you just want to check it out. Sneak their cookies from the front desk, too. Have a great time!
