Hotel FOTL question

Are there any kind of holders/ lanyards that you get with your FOTL pass? If not, has anyone bought anything that worked? I'm taking a bunch of kids and think it would be easier if it was attached to them...

No, you get the hotel's unlimited express pass only. It is about the size of a credit card and is made of tough paper. You can buy lanyards at Universal, or get one from a dollar store or use any brand you want.


Have a great time. Know that the unlimited express pass lets you go through the express line multiple times, but never gets you front of the line. With not too busy a day, the express line can be short, on very busy days, you could wait about 15 minutes or more, even in the express line.

You will be carrying admission card, Express Pass card, and maybe hotel keycard. Adults should have ID, people might consider having some money. Lanyards with pouches are a great idea. For about $10 each you can get fabulous Harry Potter lanyards that look like the Hogwarts house ties. They have cheap plastic pouches at the end of them. Probably a bit of overkill for the kids, but I like my Witz brand clear, waterproof, hard plastic lanyard that I hang from my Ravenclaw lanyard.

Anyway, the point is, you can get a lanyard and pouch from a variety of places for a variety of prices, and they will be helpful. Just know that the cheapie plastic pouches can and sometimes do break

And, the cheap ones are not to be worn on water rides. My sons express pass was ruined and we had to get another one at guest services. His didn't seal and he had it around his neck on a water ride. Water got in it and the EP stuck to the plastic and when he went to pull it out, it tore...and could't be scanned. The HP one o had held my cards (hotel, EP and room key) fine, but didn't have much room for anything else.

I bought a pack of the heavy duty pouches at Office Max I believe. You may check Walmart but I think they only have the thinner ones. You may also check ebay, I have purchased them there before. I like to grab a few extra in case the closure breaks on one. We went in the summer and the kids didn't like having anything around there neck when it was hot so I bought the badge clips that they could clip onto their belt loops. There are the character/themed ones in the parks for around $10 and there are plain colored ones that we purchased at the hotel for $5.

a couple of years ago and my Express was crumling by 7 PM. The water areas just killed it. That was with no lanyard. My daughter's stayed in good shape in her lanyard.

I kept all our EPs in my pocket all day, through multiple rides on all the water rides, and they were soggy but unharmed. By morning they were dry again. Although if I'd realized they weren't tyvek like the Disney tickets, I probably wouldn't have tried that! LOL
