I am looking at hotels - preferably a 2 bedroom. They would like it to be close to Downtown Disney or City Walk. They will have a car but would also like having the use of transportation in case they have a couple of beers. They will not drink and drive. Any suggestions?? They also will not be going to any Disney parks - possibly Universal Studios. I think they are more interested in night life. This is for next spring they are just trying to figure out what what things will cost so I am not sure if Downtown Disney will just be restaurants and stores ?? Thanks for your help.

Thanks I will take a look at these. If they go to a park it would be Universal. Did not know if there was another area with nightlife. I only go to Disney or universal.....

look on this board - Orlando is expanding - there are now lots of things to do.

Actually should look at the area on International that is around the Orlando Eye. LOTS of new places to eat, drink and all walking distance from many spots to stay. Even an Ice Bar there. Quick drive to Universal and easy walk to plenty of entertainment.

Homewood is right there and includes Breakfast every day and Dinner 5 days a week with beer & wine, and suites with kitchen area.

Plenty of other options there once you look at the area.

I will definately look at that - sounds exactly what they want. Now I am hearing Universal is on the list but as it is a quick drive.........

Universal's hotels would be great. There are four to choose from. The three higher end hotels offer free express passes when you go to the parks. The onsite value hotel doesn't but all of them offer an early entry hour to experience Harry Potter with low crowds. They can choose to walk, take a boat, or a bus to CityWalk which offers a ton of clubs and restaurants (Downtown Disney no longer has clubs). It definitely caters to people in their 20's.

They would love to stay at US. I do not think the budget will allow. The price I saw for CBR was over. $200 a night plus taxes and parking.

I definitely agree with the I-Drive suggestion. There are a lot of bars there now with many different vibes - Blue Martini for a more club vibe, Tin Roof and Howl at the Moon for live music, and the Pub for a more laid back option.
