We are going to wilderness lodge in October! We have three little ones and lugging down diapers was concerning me. Someone just told me that the hotel will accept shipments two weeks prior to checkin. Does anyone know if this is true and has anyone ever done this?

See the sticky at the top of the board dedicated to this topic.

Instead of shipping your items, which you can do, I would recommend using GardenGrocer.com. They deliver to WDW and both they and Disney are used to the whole process. We're also planning on using them for other items like snacks for hotel room, breakfast staples like donuts, etc.

Heck yeah! I do it every time! Space saver and no reason to lug stuff. I use Amazon mom to send a box of diapers/wipes and maybe a few other things too... Easy! But I've also done the GG thing as well when we didn't need as many since we usually get drinks/snacks/food when we stay in a villa.

Good luck!

Yes! I forgot about GG! I have to see the price difference between GG and Amazon. We haven't been to Disney in several years. Last time we had one child...now we have three (2 in diapers!). That's a lot to haul down to Florida! Now if I could only ship the kids :)

Wise move getting them there ahead of time. Our girls are 16 & turning18 in a couple of months. Our first trip we stayed at Swan for a medical conference. I had two in diapers. Had to bring both diapers and Pull Ups as older one had regressed when her sister came along. Ran out of diapers and formula and had to buy both at the Screen Door on the Boardwalk. The little glass bottles of ready to feed Similac were $2 each and Huggies (no Pampers available) were $6 for a pack of 12! When we were back at the CR two months later to celebrate giving up the Pull Ups, I made sure I brought two of the huge economy packs of diapers!!

I'd recommend GG as well. You wont have to worry if your box gets there in time... and you can add some snacks and water to your order. ;)

We used Garden Grocer for our trip last year and had planned on using them for diapers too, but ended up bringing our own to have space in the suitcases that we could swap out for souvenirs to bring home. We were happy with their service and the order was at WL waiting for us. You definitely can have packages shipped to WL like from Amazon, and there is more info about that in the Family section of the boards.

Enjoy your trip to WL, we sure love that resort and it should be a great time of year to be there!
