We have an Alaskan cruise next year in May, will the hot tubs be open? Will it be to cold, have you seen many use them? Thanks.

When we did the Alaskan cruise, the hot tubs and pools were open. The pools were heated and were almost empty the entire cruise.

Went on the Alaskan cruise June 6, 2016. The pools were open but not overly crowded. First few days it was in the 70s. Hot tub felt wonderful during the day. Did not do it late afternoon/early evening (4-6pm) when it got cooler.

How big are these hot tubs? Do they have varying sizes? Doing a 5 night cruise next year

I was on a different line in Alaska , but my favorite thing to do was sit in the hot tub after dinner and watch the scenery go by. It was crisp out, but I like that. Hope you have fun

It's never too cold for a hot tub. Actually Alaska is not that cold for where you are going and time of year.
Southern Alaska and may is not that cold.

The hot tubs are open, but I don't use them. They may be warm and cozy while in them, but it's a long cold walk back to the stateroom to change afterward.

My first Alaska cruise had young adults piled into the hot tubs quite often. My second one hardly had anyone use them.

We went on the 2nd sailing (May 30-June 6) this year and we used the hot tub toward the last half of the cruise. It wasn't bad at all.
DS(8) used the pools (not many people did, mostly a few kids). They were heated and he used it the most on Tracy Arm day (Which ended up being Endicott Arm). He stayed in nearly the whole time we were near the glacier......wouldn't have been my ideal time but he didn't seem to mind and when he got out he came straight up to the room to change and didn't complain too much about having been cold.

On my mid-August trip into Tracy Arm.... It was cold and wet. But the pools were crowded with families.
