HOT TOYS for CHRISTMAS 2006

LisaNJ25: I knew it, I should have gone to Costco! I got it at ToysRus for a little more and less accessories...doh! And we DO have a Costco card through my DH work but he never gets any couponbooks from there, I think he disabled that feature somehow. It would be nice to know whats on sale :rotfl:, we just go when we run out of stuff at home or close to running out.

I so miss WDW and wish I could go back sooner!!!

Update on Christmas gifts:

Me and DH went to Bestbuy the other day and they had the Virgin Mobile "Oyster" prepaid cell phone for 19.99..We bought it for DD 11 as a Christmas gift, I'm thinking of this one as a test-run ;) to see if she won't loose it.

I can handle a mistake for $20 but still...just a test-run, also got her $20 of minutes, though I have no idea how long that amount lasts, it doesn't say it anywhere on the packaging.

I still wish for Disney's Mobile for her with the GPS system but I so don't want the plans to pay for every month.

My DS (13) wants a cell phone too and although he doesn't know I'm really considering it for a variety of reasons.

I'm not going to add him to our plan though. I may end up getting him a pay as you go phone or even one of those wego phones that are locked to only so many numbers. Not sure yet.

Yes the 29th is on a Sunday ;)

Now question on this everyone:

My DS (13) wants this. However he has a Playstation 2, Nintendo DS, and a Game Cube at his grandma. Would you buy the Wii as well :confused3

Otherwise I've got to come up with another idea. All I know now is that he wants Kingdom of Hearts2, Star Wars (whatever number), oh and the Lego Mindstrom but $250 for a lego set??????????? Ouch!

Sounds like it's triplets, not twins! I think that a lot of 11-13 y/o boys will have a wish list like this! My ds is 12, and these are the two big things on his list.

I've pre-ordered the Wii for him (got in on it when Amazon had preorders up about a month ago), and we picked up the Mindstorm NXT while we were at Disney (tip for anyone going to Disney and making a major Lego purchase - there is a club that you can join, that gives you credit for every dollar you spend. We ended up getting a $30 GC when we bought the Mindstorm kit!).

We have ds convinced that there is no way that he is getting the Wii. He's saving his own money for it, and has figured out that he'll be able to afford it at the end of January/February. We decided that we'll buy the console, and he can put his $$$ towards a couple of games (which quickly add up to the price of the system!).

does anyone have the Baby Alive doll? if so, what do you think? And has anyone who might live in the NE PA (scranton, W-b area) seen them in the stores??

Minnie: I looked at the Firefly cell phone at Toysrus too, it's only $59 here right now but after reading reviews on it I decided to go with this cheaper phone, it has a little more options and she is going to be 12 in January, I'm hoping she will show that she can be responsible with phone and not spending too many minutes, again, I'm having on and off again feelings getting her one, then again I think it's a cheap way to check it out :rotfl:

Later down the road I'll upgrade it to another phone, for now it will do what it needs to and I know she will be thrilled to get one :sunny:

The tween is approaching...yikes! Already has the "attitude" and I still remember being child/teen, your still a child but then again you should know better in certain situations...*sigh* :rolleyes1

Thinking of getting this. It won an Opp. Award for whatever that is worth. And it's on many lists as a 'hot toy'...
Last year I bought Scamps but that thing is more trouble than it's worth but my kids still love it. Thinking this one might be better.

Also thinking of getting Baby Annabell this year [it was last year's hot interactive doll, like the baby alive this year]. I don't want baby alive, she's not terribly cute and she poops. ewww. Of course it's hard to find Annabell. Anyone have ideas?

My kids also want Floam.

They'll get games too...Zingo for sure and whatever are on sale BF.

Just an FYI...I just went onto the Hasbro website and it let me order the Spider and Dog, Snail and Puppy, Squirrel and Bird, Chinchilla with Hutch, Bird, Cat and Bird and a BUNCH of others...they are limiting you to ordering only one of the new ones...I tried to order two, one of my DD and one for my niece but that didn't work. But I am just happy that I got them for my kiddo.

Also if you are ordering off of Hasbro there is a code good through Halloween I believe it is FACAT06E and that takes 10% off of your order. I got nine of them shipped for $41.38!

I got an email on the 2oth from sears that says: Save $10 at Our New Lands' End Shop

It is $10 off $50 and expires 11/19/06. NOt for sure if it is one time use or not though.

Has anyone seen the Hide and Seek Care Bear? Just wondering if it is worth it. Thanks!

Costco has the LEGO City Passenger Plane for $30. The cheapest elsewhere seems to be $36-40.

COSTCO also has the Moon Sand Castle set (as seen on TV) for about $16 if I remember correctly.

DS also asked for a Hot Wheels Radar Gun. This seems really cool. Kids can point it at their hotwheels cars to see how fast the cars are going! I did a search and WalMart is supposed to have it for $20. TRU also has it in their catalog this week for $25.

My Ds asked for that as well, I think it looks pretty cool. He wants his sister to use it to see how fast he rides his bike :)

Has anyone see the Fly Wheels XPV anywhere? It's an RC thing, it's supposed to go on air and land. They were 59.99 on the toys r us website, but when I went to buy it the site kept saying the chargers were out of stock, so while waiting for them to come back in they ran out of both! Now they won't even come up on the site at all. I can only find them ebay for like $20 more of course.

I saw this at Walmart Friday. My DD 3 is a Care Bear NUT so I'll get it for her. We have 30 million Care Bears, so what's one more?

I picked up a pink DS lite at Limited Too today for $119.92 - it was originally marked at $149.90 - but I had a 20% off coupon that brought it down to $119.92 and I got 2 $25 Too bucks and 2 $10 Bonus Bucks :sunny: So I can do some more Christmas shopping later :teeth:

Target has a great wooden wardrobe for their "Our Generation Doll" for $49.99 that would work great for anyone with American Girl Dolls - I picked one up for DD for Christmas :sunny:

I understand how you feel. DD6 has loved CB since she has been 2. I think we have every CB ever made. At 3 that's all she asked for was for CB. At 4 we decided it was time to change her room to a big girl rm(she had Winnie the Pooh). You would think she would want Princess's, no it's a CB room.
Might as well be a CB room because they have taken over her rm.

We have tried to get her to get rid of some of her CB, but no win, She would rather give up icecream.. This year she has asked for the Hide n Seek CB for Christmas. I will have her aunt get it for her.

That's a great deal, I was thinking about that when I saw my Limited Too catalog, but I've already gotten DD her expensive gift. OT, but they had alot of cute clothes in there, I can't believe some of the styles that are coming back, I just loved the long sweaters and tunics with leggings, DD would look soo cute in those, I just wish they weren't so darn expensive.

DD loves Grumpy Bear, LOL!

We are redoing DD's room now, at 3 1/2. No theme, except maybe cats. The Care Bears will be the main accessory though.

Our kids must be related, somehow!!! DD6 loves cats, besides her CB collection she has a cat colletion. If their are no CB's around she'll ask for a cat. Her BF is named Jillian (your user name) :rotfl2: We formally lived in NJ, now live near the mouse. Maybe your my sister ,:confused3 , long lost ,cousin, :confused3 , clone. :confused3
