Just an informal poll. Going to be putting in a Hot Dog steamer at the bar I manage and just trying to get an idea of what others put on the Hot Dogs.

I usually only put on good 'ol French's.

I had a hot dog bar for the grandkids the other night. I set out hotdogs and toppings: ketchup, mustard, onions, sweet and dill relish, finely shredded cheddar cheese, chili sauce and mild pepper rings. They loved it!

mmm hot dogs....I like brats actually and I top mine with a little mustard (we currently have a Jack Daniels mustard that is sooooooooo good), a little ketchup, some chopped onions, dill pickles, cheese & banana pepper rings. :)

I love Ketchup, friend onions and Salt Pork, yummmy but oh so bad.......when we travel to the Carolinas I love getting Slaw Dogs!!

I didn't see slaw in the poll. Gotta have chili, slaw, mustard, and onions.

I like the following combos:

mustard/sauerkraut
mustard/chili
mustard/raw onions
mustard/relish
mustard/NY style red onions
mustard/chili/cheese

The red onions are basically onions sliced really thin, sauteed in a bit of oil, then add some ketchup, water, salt, pepper, cayenne and a very small, small pinch of cinnamon cooked down until thickened.

Now I want a hot dog!

Sheesh...I'd love to have a dog right now!! But that's a bit heavy for a before bed snack, I guess.:goodvibes

I like mustard, relish (either dill or sweet), onions, shredded lettuce or cabbage slaw and chopped tomatoes.

Guess I'll go get a bowl of sugar free jello:idea:

always mustard, but I prefer the spicy brown kind rather than yellow
Sometimes dill relish

sauerkraut and mustard
chili, cheese and onions
ketchup, mustard and relish
cheese and onions

I'm in Canada and the vendors here usually have 2 kinds of mustard, ketchup, relish, onions, hot peppers, pickles and olives and usually sauerkraut.

I never put anything on my hot dogs. A quality hot dog doesn't need anything.

I must live a very sheltered life...have never heard of putting slaw on a hot dog, nor tomatoes, lettuce or pickles.

And only thought of sauerkraut as something for a brat.

keep it coming....
