horror make-up show

This is cool because it has been reported in the past that the volunteers are paid "actors" and I never bought into it. The cool thing about this attractions is that it is one of the few that has survived since the park opened.

No, it is usually someone in the center of the theater next to the aisle. Believe me, my son made me watch this show 3 more times during our stay and tried his best to be in one of the aisle seats so he could be picked.

We play a little game where we try to guess who they will pick. It's usually an Asian women and if they don't speak English it's all the better.

I absolutely LOVE this show! It always makes me laugh!

My ex spent a day in the park when he was down visiting our kids last year and he happened to go to the show (at my urging). He said, "Oh, they had this guy, Mark James, he was hysterical!" I chuckled and said, "gotta love theme parks....WHICH Mark James was it?" LOL

I often wondered if the people they picked were real, or if they generally picked Asian women because of the language barrier that is often in place. I know I've seen it so many times that I wouldn't want to get picked, and it wouldn't be a good show for them as a result! They usually pick just to the right/left of center, but not always as last time it was way to the right (looking at the stage). Is there a good way to let them know that I wouldn't be their best choice, I wonder? I think it really works best with jumpy, unsuspecting guests! Heck, being chased by chainsaws doesn't even bother me anymore! :jester:

I definitely consider this show "not to be missed"!

We saw it for the first time during our most recent trip and we all loved it. DS was the kid "blamed" - he said "I didn't do it - he framed me!" and cracked up the actors.

This week when we were there, they picked a middle aged woman from Michigan, who was actually pretty funny in her responses to the actors. After word, as we were making our way out, Mark James said "Hey Hippy Man how are ya?" I laughed, shook his hand and said, "see ya at HHN this year, he just winked at me......... cool!

We took some relatives from Canada to see the show back in April and they picked my cousin to go up on stage. It was so funny to see her up there knowing what was going to happen (my DH and I have seen the show about 6x). My cousin got a huge kick out of it and was thrilled with the picture they gave her!
