Horrible News Tonight

My sister and brother in law Brian are in DC for the Redskins game today. She just called and said Brians brother called them tonight. They were notified today that his other brother Billy was killed in a plane crash, he had went to pick up a plane that he had bought a few years ago and was bringing it home to Nantucket. Apparently he had gone to get it a couple times before and it was having engine problems so he had everything repaired and went back to get it. There's not much info yet, but we found this article online. She's trying to get Brian not to look at the article as the pictures are graphic, I'm sure he's just in shock.

He was a good guy, was getting ready to sell his business and retire.


It's scary, it's a harsh reminder to live every day.

I guess what makes it worse, for me anyway, is that last time I saw him this summer he was down for a party. We went bowling w/ a group of people, both of us had a couple beers and had this stupid *** little fight over nothing. It was left like that because we were both too stubborn to make amends. I don't even know what it was about now.

So sorry to hear about your tragic loss. It's a shame you parted last time on less than happy terms, but hopefully that was just one incident out of a lifetime and in the long run it wasn't that significant...surely you have some GOOD memories to hang onto, so don't let that one time overshadow the rest.
