They KICKED me off the ship at 9am this morning! Can you believe it! It was aweful. A lot of screaming involved. I just can't believe it happened. Expecting 7 days of pampering to be enough.

I want a refund! Or another cruise at least...

Scared me there for a second!!! :teeth: Glad you had such a good time that you were sad to leave! :sunny:

ROFL! :p You definantly got me on that post. I must confess, I am still not over being forced to leave the ship on 11/22. Didn't they realize that I was going to have to return home and actually try to cook after being pampered all week?!?!? It's been very difficult for all of us to adjust. ;)

The nerve of them.

Didn't you tell them who you were?

LOL

Jim

PS, you got me, too

Pssssst: take a 2 week back-to-back cruise on the Magic: then you get to watch all the guests leaving the ship after their week, and you can gloat! hehe.Nat :Pinkbounc

Hey Nat,
I wondered about that... Does Disney allow you to stay aboard the ship like other cruise lines do?

Might have to switch to a lower cat. cabin to do a back to back but think it'd be worth it :p

DisneyGator01: Did you really get off at 9:00? That's my Dad's philosophy... "let them hunt me down and carry me off!" He refused to make limo pickup earlier than 9:30 and I was afraid we'd be "touring" Port Canaveral for a bit!

What a great 2 weeks is was! You have a choice of leaving the ship on the "changeover", but still have to be off by 10am. After that, you have to stay aboard, as there is a lot of activity - as you would imagine - getting everywhere cleaned and ready for the new guests. We disembarked (in the rain) - and took a taxi to Merrit Island Mall -which is only a 10min ride or so away. Of course, we then had to join the queue of new guests embarking at lunchtime. We also changed stateroom for the second week: first week in Cat 1(outside), then changed to Cat 7 with verandah. Nice to have balcony, but as we didnt spend long in the cabin, it really is an expensive luxury. Both cabins were great - and you dont feel the motion of the ship so much in lower cabin/forward. If you have the option of one week in Cat 7, or 2 weeks in Cat 1: make sure you book for 2 weeks! Nothing beats waking up to sunrises in the Caribbean! Bliss.Get saving those dollars! Nat:Pinkbounc

You said 1 week in a cat 7 or 2 weeks in a cat 1, isn't the cat 1 A LOT more money? I would think you meant it the other way around since cat 1 is the top of the line on the ship!

And how dare they kick you off the ship? Hopefully I don't receive the same treatment on my Jan cruise!!

:)
btw they look under the beds and in the closet.. I have to think of a new hiding place :)

OMG!
I thought - you were sick - or something. It took me a minute to "get it". I can be so gullable!

I'm sorry you were kicked off. The nerve of some people. Why can't they just let us stay as long as we want?????

Shelley, what are you trying to do to this moderator, kill me? :faint:

Bad, bad subject line. Gave me a mild coronary. Good thing I have a cruise coming up next month. I'll need it to recover.;) :p

will admit the subject line got to me ... hope it doesn't scare too many people :)

but now you've got me thinking ... if you opt to stay on board during the changeover, what do you do for 4-5 hours (without getting in the way)?? Everything is closed (Plutos, Pinnocchios, spa, bars, restaurants, shops, etc.).

I'd imagine I'd sleep in late first, grab breakfast @ the buffet around 8am. Then I'd go back to the cabin to hideout for awhile ... sit on the balcony for awhile while the stateroom host cleans the room ... would you be able to swim in the pool during the changeover??? That would be cool.....

Sorry Carolyn, you are quite right! Gosh, I really MUST get my eyes tested! Yes, of course it should have read: 2 weeks in the CHEAPER cabin! See: Im so keen to go on another cruise - I cant even THINK straight! hehe. Thanks. Nat:Pinkbounc

We get the opportunity to see what the changeover is like in January. Our room is the same for both weeks so there is no moving needed ... unless we get an upgrade! Not counting on it though. It will be fun to go through this.

I am one of those who have stayed hours after the Magic Kingdom closed just to get my picture taken on Main Street with no one else there!
