Can someone tell me how a 4 Day hopper pass work? I am aware that it allows me to park hop on any day and also multiple entries to anyone park. Is that right?

1. Do I have to use it for 4 consecutive days or I can have the option of splitting up the days in any manner I wish to?

2. Do I have to specify the dates when I purchase the passes?

3. What happened if I purchase in advance but encounter a bad weather later? Can someone else use them?

You don't have to specify the dates and they're good anytime. Hopper passes never expire. Therefore, you don't have to use them on consecutive days. As far as someone else using them, I'm not sure about that. The passes used to have your picture on them, but as far as I know, that is no longer the case.

How do the park keep track of my usage then since I can park hop and we can have multiple entries?

You are not supposed to give your ticket to anyone else, on the ticket it says it is not transferrable, but how are they going to know.

As for tracking, each time you enter any of the parks, you put your ticket through a scanner which will "dock" 1 day from the count. This is all run by computer, and all the parks are connected to this system, if you move to another park just scan your ticket and the computer does the rest.

I hope this helps you.

Great thread here...

But, you can go to any number of parks in any given day, right?

2/3 parks in 1 day is still 1 day off the 'hopper', right?

That's right.

Just be sure to get your hand "stamped" when you exit the park.

Really?

So you have to get your hand stamped, the whole family,
when you leave a park?

?

Yes, when you enter another park or re-enter the last park, your ticket will show that it was used. They may ask to see the handstamp on your hand to verify that you did use the ticket that day.

AP or PAP holder do not have to get their hand stamped because they have biometrics to verify they are the ticket holder. That is, they have to stick their hand into the biometric reader, it checks the bone size/finger distance and verifies that they are the AP or PAP holder.
