I remember a couple years ago when Disney had a special where if you booked a Value resort vacation, you got a $300 gift card; a Moderate Resort vacation was a $500 gift card; and a Deluxe Resort vacation was a $700 gift card (I think I got the gift card values right). Is this something Disney does regularly and if so, what time of the year would they be offering it? I don't think I have seen this special in a while, but I honestly just started getting into planning a possible trip in September. Thanks for any info

I've only seen it once, in connection with the first "stay 4 get 7 days" promotion several years ago. It's not very frequent.

Yes, I've only seen them offer that promo one time, about 2 or 3 years ago - definitely not an annual thing.

I know they offered it in May '10. We took advantage of it. Turned out to pretty much pay for our tips and souvenirs.

Not too bad a deal for us at the time. Now I'm hoping for bigger discounts in June of '12
