Hi we booked the Hoop-Dee-Doo show in April. its our first time going. pretty excited about going. iv read many reviews and everything thing sounds great. i was wondering if anyone had any pictures the could share with me. of the show , food, ect. or any comments... thanks

make sure you pick up your vouchers for the show at your resort..if you dont you will have to wait in a decent size line to get them when you arrive at the show..also, make sure you leave plenty of time to get there, its not the easiest place to get to...have fun its our favorite show and a must do every year!

oh thank you so much for the info. do i just pick them up that day at my resort?

This may be a bit much if you don't want to be "spoiled," but there are many videos up on YouTube. Just do a search for "Hoop De Doo Revue"!

1) Don't worry about photos.
2) Suprises are the best !!!
3) However, if in doubt, TRUST THE SCUPPER . . .

NOTE: HDDR is a fun, corny, lively show. The food is well
above average for comfort food. Good show for adults and
children alike.

It's our favorite place to eat on property! Here are some photos without ruining the show for you!

Unlimited beer and sangria. The waiter made me wear a bib after a bit spilled on me. He was hilarious!

Peek at the show (sorry it is blurry, probably too much sangria!):

You can pick them up a day or two early, if you want. We usually pop in whenever we're close to the concierge desk rather than making a special trip there.

We love, love, love HDDR!!! The 1st time we booked it, we thought it would be more for the kids. DH & I had as much, if not more, fun than DDs did!

Another perk: gratuity is included with the price of the meal so you don't have to worry about leaving extra! Unlimited Bud Light & sangria were pretty popular at our table!!!

Ditto everyone else. Go! Enjoy it! I can't wait to take my husband for the first time in July.

I agree with these comments!

1) Don't worry about photos.

Hoop is pure Disney magic- even if the food's not the best on property.

I just saw it for the first time two years ago, but it has been at WDW a LONG time. I think it's the longest running live show in the country, or something like that. In the best sense, it really harkens back to the best entertainment of the original WDW. That's the best way I can explain how it made us feel. As much as I really like some of the new parts of WDW, they lack Walt's expert touch. All of WDW technically opened after Walt's death, but early WDW was designed by Walt's experts. Hoop is magic! Enjoy it!

But please, don't watch it before you go.

Also, allow plenty of time to get there. The Campgrounds are a destination unto themselves.

We're thinking about trying it our first time in December. Do you share tables or will a party of 2 have their own table?

We are staying at the Dolphin this summer. Will I be able to pic up my vouchers ahead of time?

We've been twice and never noticed or experienced families sharing tables. They seem to have a nice selection for large and small groups.

There are tables of all sizes, including tables for 2. You won't need to share a table with others.

thanks for the answer. We aren't nuts about eating at the restaurants where you share tables with others.

You likely won't have to - but keep an open mind. Our first time at Spirit of Aloha a year or so ago we were with 3 other families so a table for 16 - I'm CERTAIN the honeymoon couple at the table for 2 in front of us was a bit leery of us when they first sat down. But 45 minutes later when the rain was pouring down and starting to drip on them at the outside of the roof area - they ended up squeezing in right with us and we all had a GREAT time! Even though the show was canceled due to weather they still kept the beer and wine coming and I think they ended up having a ton of fun!

I'm thinking about making ADRs for HDDR for this summer. I'm planning on adding the DeluxeDP to our stay. I haven't seen the HDDR in probably 20 years, but can still sing the songs. I have such a great memory of the show and have talked it up to DH, but I'm afraid it won't be as good as I remember. What do you think? I know its gotten a lot of good reviews on here. I would really like Category 1, but with DP you can only get that one at the 930 show. Is it still lively? Lots of people? TIA!
