Hoop Dee Doo Revue--FANTASTIC!!

Thanks for the review. We are leaving next week to go down there and my family booked for Hoop Dee Doo Review and after reading so many good things I cant wait.:goodvibes

OMG! We love HDDR!!!! We went for the first time in April 2009 and again this August 2011 trip. Both times it was AWESOME!! The show alone is worth the money and the dinner and drink is just a plus! Really great interaction with the audience and just all around fun!!! I must give a little bit of a bad review to the food though this time around. The food in 09 was better than this time. The ribs were kind of dry and I had to send our potatoes back for a warmer batch. That was a small disappointment to a really FUN night! We took our friends to the show and they absolutely LOVED it!!! We were on the balcony directly in front of the stage. The performers came right up to our table and that beautiful brunette in the yellow dress is even more beautiful up close!

My DD and I vow to see this heart warming show each and every time that we visit WDW! You just leave floating on air!!:cloud9:

My DD is 18 and we are celebrating her graduation in October and her first request was hoop!

We went once for a birthday celebration quite a few years ago. It was a fun evening!
I have a question for anyone who has been recently. Is it cold in the dining area? There used to be quite a few comments about that so I took a sweater, but all of us were shivering during the meal and entertainment. Has that changed?

Love Hoop Dee.....one of the best evenings of fun for my three daughters! We LOVE The Hoop Dee!!! Glad you had fun!

There was a thread earlier with a negative "revue" of HDDR. The main reason for the negativity (and I'd agree in this case) was the fact that the OP was seated in a back corner near the kitchen.

The kitchen isn't in the back of the theater.

I have to say "corny" is my least favorite type of humor (well, maybe slap-stick), but we are definitely looking forward to the show with DDs 4, 6, 8, DH, and my mom. It'll be our last night of the vacation and we're staying in the cabins, so thought it would be a nice send-off.

Keep me full of sangria and I promise not to roll my eyes...too much.:goodvibes

Okay, the poster said something more like "bussing" area, rather than kitchen. Either way, it was very loud and disruptive, and I know exactly where the poster was talking about. People who have had reservations for a long time there should not be forced to sit there. The poster should have done something about it then rather than wait to complain about it on the DIS, but I can see how this would hinder one's enjoyment of HDDR.

Yup.

We've seen the show in nearly all parts of the theater, and I do prefer "closer" to "farther."

We'll be there one week from today, and I'm so excited! I tried to book some things for our honeymoon I'd never done at WDW before, and HDDR was at the top of my list. Ribs and endless sangria sound like an amazing combination to me! Add a show--any kind of show--and I'm a happy girl!

The ribs are dynamite and mother loves the Fried Chicken :thumbsup2 Big HDDMR fan here, we always go, its tradition! And you can't mess with that.

We were there in Feb. and it didn't seem too cold. Mine you, we have been quite a lot, and it usually is, so now we make sure we have sweat shirts or sweaters with us. We were there once, and many people had red shawls around themselves. Then I realized they were red tablecloths given to them because it was so cold.:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

Yep....we stayed in the cabins as well.....truly a great night! And free flowing sangria is the best!!

We had a great time on our trip in May! I was worried my DS, 4 wouldn't be into it, and although he didn't eat a single thing he LOVED the show. He left singing the song.

They'll bring mac and cheese also if you request it.

We also just went for the first time in August and I was really hesitant. The only reason we went is because we had deluxe dining with a lot of credits to burn. We ended up LOVING it! Even my very reserved husband was getting into the antics, the pitcher and a half of beer probably helped. DD says that was her favorite meal of the whole week. We booked the latest show, so the place wasn't full, no one in the balcony, but the crowd was still very interactive and our server was excellent. At some places where tip is included (CRT) we've had less than stellar service, but no complaints at HDDR! :thumbsup2

AndeaDM--when were you there in August?? We were also at the late show on August 23rd. Very funny if we were at the same show! My DH and DS also agreed this was their favorite meal of the entire trip!

One of our favorite shows in WDW. We book it about every 2 or 3 years.
