Do you need a reservation for this?

I just found out my niece's friend is working in the show. But I didn't make any reservations ahead or anything.

Yes. It may even be required, but I'm not positive on that. But if you know for sure you want to go, I'd book it ahead.

The Hoop dee doo is a blast, and I bet it would be even funnier if you saw someone you knew performing! Reservations are a must though, it sells out long in advance. I think it's $50 per adult, so it doesn't come cheap, but with all you can eat food and drink and the show, you do get your money's worth.

Depending upon the time of year you're going and the show you want to see, you can often get tickets the day of without a problem. We bought tickets the night before on our May trip and the place was less than half full. You do have to have a reservation to get in, but there is a ticket booth there and you can buy tickets through your hotel once you're there. Or by phone and then pick up your tickets at the box office when you arrive (what we did).

I'd def call and see if you can get in! That would be a blast to see someone I knew in the show - we LOVE LOVE LOVE it and it's a great time!

This show is so popular it's one of the very few places where you can make reservations 2 years in advance! It's well worth the $$ and a fun time for everyone.

Enjoy!

Just wanted to add, the earlier you make your reservation, the better your table will be in the hall. One time I waitied 'till about 2 months out to make my reservation and was seated in the "upper deck". They are definately (IMHO) not worth the "full" price of admission.

It is our WDW tradition, to see HDDR on the first night we arrive in FL. I have 3 ressies booked out to Dec 2006. I get the front table alot by booking so early in advance.

Also, fair warning, it has always been cold when we have been there, so make sure you take something for your arms!

The 9:30 seating was not crowded (no one was upstairs). We had reservations but it seemed available. Plus with DDE we got a discount - it came to about $80 for me and DH - not bad for dinner including drinks, tax, tip and the fun show.

:worship: Thank you for posting that! It's been a long time since we've been to HDD and I don't remember a lot about it. My mom and I are both cold natured so we will be sure to bring a light jacket. :cold:

We just got back from Disney--went to the Hoopy Dee Doo on Sunday night. It was great. We made our reservations about 2 months ago. We were on the main floor and in the middle of the action. It was great! I really didn't think I would enjoy it. My husband loved that he could get unlimited beer!

And, I have found that I needed a jacket at every restaurant we were at. It was in the 90s all week, but the restaurants had their air on high. I was freezing most of the time, and I'm only 37.

It is part of our first day tradition, always do HDDR on first night.Great way to start your week at WDW. :wizard: :wave2: :goodvibes
