I can only go to one. If I choose hoop dee doo, it will be OOP, not the DDP. Which would you choose? I need to pick soon because my trip is in less than 2 months. I've never been to either. I'm traveling with DH and 3 yr. old. Thanks in advance. :sad2:

we just did the hoodeedoo for the first time last month 3 teens and 2 adults we all loved it and we thought the food was good

cirque. there is nothing like it.

Hoop de doo is fun and you get a meal, but Cirque de Soleil is spectacular. It's the only show that our kids (then 7 and 9) actually spontaneously and vigorously thanked us for taking them to.

Cirque is totally awesome and something you won't want to miss.

I would go for Cirque. I've never seen the one at WDW but I have seen several other versions. Hoop de Doo is fun but I think I would choose Cirque if I could only pick one.

No question in my family's eyes, CIRQUE all the way! Not even a split second decision.   OH and I have to add my son was 3 when he saw his first Cirue show and LOVED IT! The whole thing. Not all kids would but mine did. Now he loves to see them in person and on TV at 6 and he loves gymnastics too. :thumbsup2

I think your decision hinges on your kid. Would your kid sit through an entire performance? I know my 3-year old would not, but when he was 2 last year, he absolutely loved Hoop-Dee-Doo.

Cirque is definitely awesome, but I'm wondering if a child will really enjoy it as much as they would enjoy the singing, dancing and clapping at HDD.

I would pick Hoop-Dee-Doo, if it's availible. I think the kids will like it better, but still, you can't go wrong with either one. :thumbsup2

If you are bringing your 3 year old, I'd do HDDR. If you can find a babysitter, do Cirque instead.

We've done both but with a 3 year old I would pick Hoop. Cirque was fabulous but my 3 yr old would have never sat through it. We took her to Hoop (in Sept. - she's 4). She loved Hoop with all the interaction and especially the part where they got to play the washboards.

Hands Down::: CIRQUE DU SOLEIL!!!! :thumbsup2 Even with the 3 yr old.
I took my son when he was 4 yrs old to his 1st Cirque show and he was memorized the whole time. There is so much going on. My son never moved or made a sound. Now every child is different so you have to know your own child if they could/would sit through a 90 minute show.

My son is now 7 yrs old and we just saw La Nouba 2 wks ago and he loved it just as much as he did when he saw it at 4 yrs old.

We have also taken him to some traveling Cirque du Soleil shows and he loves them all.

BUT we also did Hoop Dee Doo and he also loved that :)

Personally I would pick Cirque if you could only do one.

Keep in mind that La Nouba is a 1.5 hour show with small periods of inactivity here and there. Hoop Dee Doo is a long show as well, but the action/activity is constant. If your three year old becomes fussy at any point it will be a lot more noticeable at Cirque than at HDDR. JMO.

Oh, I LOVE that show.

The one where the gaunt expressionless clowns in white-face come bounding out on-stage in a kick-line carrying trays of strawberry shortcake!

"Hoop De Soleil"

Waaaaaayyy Kwuelllllll!

.

I've been to both shows and loved both, but I would have to agree with those that say it would completely depend on your child. When we went to Cirque last year, my sister brought my 3 year old nephew. He was very interested for the first half hour or so, but then became impatient because he didn't want to sit still any longer. I have to say that it made for a VERY uncomfortable remainder of the show, because my sister didn't have the courtesy to take him out of the theater when he became fussy, and we were getting a lot of stares and evil looks from people around us. I have to say that I can't blame them because if I were paying that much money and had the show disrupted by someone else's child I'd be upset too. The rest of my family and I were mortified :(

So basically, if you think your 3 year old can sit still the entire time, or if you're willing to miss the rest of the show if he becomes antsy, then I think you'll really enjoy Cirque. Otherwise, I'd wait a few years and go to HDD instead.

Have a great trip!

I've got that song in my head now. Thanks a lot! :goodvibes

ME TOO!! :rotfl:

Question for the OP, which of the two have you done because I would do the one that I haven't done...but if you have done neither I'd say the Hoop Dee Doo!
