Does anyone know if there are discounts available for any of the disney shows (hoop dee doo, etc). We are 2 adults and 4 kids aged 16, 14, 11 and 8. The show would add up to $280 plus. I know only 1 of my kids would eat enough food to justify the $50 ticket. The other 3 wouldn't even come close. Not sure if the show justifies the expense?? Are their deals to be found out there on these types of tickets?
Thanks!
Karen

I believe that if you have the DDE card there is a small discount on the 9:30 show, but if that's the only thing you would be using it for, it probably wouldn't be worth the purchase of the card for the small discount.
While the food is ok there, I don't think anyone thinks the food is worth the purchase price - what you're paying for is the entertainment. My 6 year old, who is a very fussy eater, only ate half of a special ordered pbj sandwhich while at the show. He had a blast though. Only you can decide if it's worth the expense. If you have the meal plan, it's included in the plan as 2 table service restaurants.

Just the Disney Dining Expirence card which costs $60 and you need to be a FL resident or an annual passholder to purchase. And the discount is only off the LATE show at 930 like the previous poster said.

We went 3 weeks ago with a 3 and 5 year old and it was wonderful. The food is good, not great. The warm bread and honey butter waiting for us as we sat down were really tasty. The salad was fresh and good. The ribs were juicy and flavorful, but I thought the Fried Chicken although tasty was a bit dry. The Corn was fine and the kids loved the stawberry shortcake.
The show was terriffic :cool1: We had a blast. The singing and corny jokes, the audience inclusion, the waving your napkins and play a washboard to a song, everything was such fun. We all - 3 generations - had a wonderful time. I definitely would recommend it and we will go again.
As another poster said, only you can decide if it is worth the price for your family.

Paying for it with the dining plan definately takes the bite out of the high cost. I agree with the posts about the food, it is good after a long day at the parks, comes out fast, everyone has fun. But the food aint $50 good. The ribs are tough, chicken is pretty good, but has been precooked and kept warm a long time, (this is how they serve the whole joint at the same time) all you can drink Bud and sangria is a definate plus. But yes you are paying for the entertainment.
