We are planning to do HDD in September with 2 other families that will be in WDW at the same time. Two of the families will be on DDP and one will not. Can I still make our ADRs together? :confused3 Thanks in advance for any input!

Yes you can, but a credit card is required as deposit (no charge) for all members in the party and they have a 48 hr. cancellation policy.

Thanks! I was thinking that I could do this and we would just be seated in the DDP tiers!

I believe the price for the family that is not on the DDP will have to be paid in full at booking.

OK...so I might have to pay for one family, but it looks like I can book us all together! Thanks so much:goodvibes

We were at Disney last week and went to the HDD on the DxDP. I'm new to all this, so only know what we experienced. I was told when I booked the HDD ADR that we had to pay in full with a CC even though we were doing the DxDP, and that our CC would be credited back once we arrived and presented our dining plan. This is what happened. When we arrived at the HDD and checked in, we went to the ticket window and the gal there took the credits from our DP and credited our CC with a full refund. She was, however, surprised our resort didn't do the refund when we picked up our HDD tickets from them.

I never had that happen to me or heard of that at all. All they do is secure your credit card number in case you don't show/cancel, they will still charge you.:confused3

When we went last year they took my CC # to hold the reservation but it was never charged - the difference was our whole party was on the DDP. I'm guessing they will charge me for the family who is not on the DDP, but maybe they will charge for all of us and credit the account when we pick up our tickets :confused3

If they try to charge, not hold, your CC for the DDP (or any other dining plan) tickets either refuse to have them charge or hang up and call for another CM. If you find that your card has been charged (check your CC in the days following making your ressie) call back and insist on the refund. The only thing they need to secure the reservation is the CC # - its technically already paid for when you let them know you are on the DDP - usually they want your reservation number as well to confirm that information.

I was charged last month when I made our ressie & was told the same thing about a refund on my CC when I present my dining plan card.

Thanks so much for the tip :thumbsup2 I will remember this when I make my reservations this week
