Has anyone ever done both in one nite? We are not going to any parks our first day, and i was thinking about doing Downtown Disney. Want to do HDD anyway soooo.....why waste precious park hours? Having both a Cubscout and a Boyscout i thought the boys would love the campfire!! I would naturally have to schedule the first seating for HDD. We are staying at ASMo, thanks for your thoughts on this!

Sue

P.S. we are going in Nov. (if that makes a difference), and i want to make my ressies :bounce:

We are planning on doing the same thing. You will have time to do both. The only thing that I haven't found out yet is how to get from one to the other. Can you walk or do we have to take a bus.

We're staying at ASMo, and all i know is we have to take the bus to MK, and then take a boat over to Fort Wilderness (sounds easy:( ). I guess it depends where you are staying at. Josierac...When are you going? have you made your ressies yet?

We've walked when it's been hubby and I, but when we had the grands, we took the inner campground bus. You can get off the bus at the front or the back of the meadows (where the campfire is). We easily beat the bus by walking..it happened to be a bus that stopped at just about every campers loop. If you are bringing your own car, you would not walk back to the car parking lot after the campfire. You would take a bus. At night, unless you like bumping into armadillo's and you have a flashlight, you would also take the bus back up to where you had your Hoop review..and then either get a bus back ot Ticket and Trans, or catch a boat to the MK/Tic Trans. We actually parked at the contemporary and took the boat over to the campground...we just told the guard we wanted to do it that way. On the way home, we were in the water, as the electric parade started. It was a lucky trip..we saw MK fireworks just after our Review and before we wen to the campfire.

One note..please, if you have little kids, even though they have a little rail around the fire..stay close. Some parents just send their kids up to it, and they put their marshmallow stick into the fire, and when the marshmallow catches on fire, they just swing around..not realizing other people are standing there.

We are going in August. We have our reservations for the Hoop de doo. I just don't know if the campfire is in walking distance to Pioneer Hall.

josierac,

Pioneer Hall is a pretty long walk from campfire but if you have enough time I think it's a very nice walk through the campgrounds (definitely do-able though). Be sure to bring your bug spray though, we visited the campgrounds on our last visit and were eaten up waiting for the bus. If you don't have a lot of time, you can always hop on one of the buses that make their rounds of the campgrounds and be there in a jiffy!:)
