Hoop De Doo Revue Changes

We are going the end of September and would like to know how do they seat you now. Is it something you have to request when you book your ADR, or do they still go by whoever books first, gets the better seats?

We scheduled the Hoop De Doo show for me and my mom in mid April for the last week of Sept. Then in June my ex decided to come, so I had to call and they had to cancel our original ADR and rebook. The CM did say she would make a notation that the only reason we cancelled the one made in April is because we added a person. A few weeks ago I suddenly realized that they didn't have an elevator in there (my mom will be in an ECV and can't do stairs). So I called to make the notation about the ECV on our ADR and the CM said it was a good thing because sure enough we were seated upstairs. She said anyone in a wheelchair or ECV had to be downstairs. FYI: We are on the DDP, but paying for this one OOP.

I was told that until January, seatings will still be assigned according to when you booked (but then again anyone who books with a wheelchair or ECV will be assigned lower level seats, so depending on how many ECVs are there people may still be bumped upstairs).

I think we made ours last May but then had to rebook in June because my BIL and SIL decided to go with us as well, so I guess there's a good possibility that we'll be upstairs.

Thanks for the info!

I think I've decided to try to use my dining plan for my July 07 trip. I did a cost analysis and found that even using 2 table service credits for this restaurant I'm still coming out ahead of what I would spend if I didn't purchase the dining plan. I could do as another poster suggested and pay OOP for Hoop de Doo and go to a nicer restaurant (Narcoosee's or California Grill) for 2 credits or eat at 2 1 credit places and get a lot more bang for my buck. But we are planning to do Cirque one night and that one is really pricey so I really can't see paying OOP for Hoop de Doo and paying for Cirque.

I just hope that I can get Cat 2 seats for HDDR. I hate that they changed that show to 180 days instead of 2 years.

We booked for this in February using the DDP. We were told all DDP ressies will be put into tier 2. My question is what if that fills then what?

I'm guessing if they have more DDP ressies for a given show than seats available in category 2 they will either put you in category 3 (hopefully asking first) or tell you that night is booked (not sure how they would determine who would be bumped for ressies already made - probably based on date of reservation).

I hope so. I really don't want to use up 12 credits & end up in Tier 3!

just back and paid OOP rather than use 2 credits, we were back row on the floor, it was great seats cuz these are higher "bar stool type" chairs and our heads were higher than tables in front of us so the view was fine! DD3 also had booster seat and could see fine. Always a fun night! ;)
