Day 5: 7/17-Thursday Got up early, DH was sick w/stomach bug, couldn't go in parks. So what's a newlywed Disney Fanatic wife to do, probably stay in and take care of him.....NOT!!! Of course he said he didn't mind me getting some park time in on my own. So I got ready and ran over to MK, rode all the rides in Fantasyland before the crowds got too bad. Called in to check on DH around lunch, said he was feeling a little better. So I went back to room, ate lunch and took a break. DH wasn't sure if he could make it or not but I promised him I would take it easy. Plus we were going to Epcot WS, that's a very relaxing walk around. Had a great time doing WS, before going we took a sneak peak of Mission Space, it was opened. Didn't figure we should ride it, especially due to his bug, but we played at the end of the ride-they had computer games & email fun things to do. After walking all of WS, DH decided that he really needed to get back to the hotel. We had finished touring around 6, so instead of waiting for Illuminations, we headed back home for a rest. He'll just have to see it next time.
Day 6: Friday-last day of Honeymoon & WDW
Went to MGM and rode RnRC & ToT, with DH dragging me on both. I did ok on RnRC but that's cuz I kept my eyes closed. ToT wasn't too bad, I thought it would be worse. Played WWTBAM 2x's back to back. Got in the top 10 twice during game 1. Never in game 2 but we were picked to sit in the seats that are on the floor ( I forgot what you call them). Got some good pictures before the show. Took Animation tour (loved it) & seen Lil' Mermaid. Ate smoked turkey legs for lunch, those were the best and then headed to room for break. The crowds were not that bad. Finished out our trip at MK. Crowds worse there. Got pictures w/ Mickey & few characters, wouldn't you know there came a horrible storm that evening. It never let up!!!! They closed all the outside rides down. Nothing to do but wait, eat & shop. By the time of park closing-still storming, lighning very bad. Had to make a mad dash to monorail, then get to Ticket & TC. Luckily were parked very close, so made the mad dash again to our car. I felt so sorry for the people with little kids there. They were screaming and crying. I couldn't believe that's how my trip ended. It would have been ok if it would have let up for at least an hour but NO, so I got my shopping finished instead. Of course you can imagine what a mad house the shops were like since no one could go anywheres. Oh well, we still had an overall fun and magical trip for our honeymoon. Now we're planning a trip back Thanksgiving 2004 w/kids and parents. A good old fashioned family trip. I keep telling DH that it will be more relaxed since I won't get to run around like I did on this trip. But he told me that he really enjoyed it and had a great time. I hope you'll enjoy my posts of my honeymoon. Sorry so sloppy but any questions just let me know.
