Honeymoon resort, need help deciding!!!

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for the advice. I am in the early stages of planning our Disney honeymoon, I was thinking of staying at POFQ but my very generous sister and brother in law have told me that they plan to pay for resort as wedding gift!!!!! But they have one condition, I have to pick a deluxe resort. I'm thinking of either Poly or Beach Club. I have time since it won't be until December of 2014. Then I think that I should just let my sister decide, with the exception of Grand Floridian ( not the future hubby's style) . What's your opinion???

Oh hard choice. What about both? You could do a split stay.

Where do you spend more time, magic kingdom or Epcot/dhs? If you are mostly magic kingdom, then stay poly. If you are more Epcot/dhs, then do beach. But if your stay is long enough, seriously think about a split stay.

In 2002 I had my fairy tale wedding at the Poly and also disneymooned there and we really enjoyed. Very romantic for just the two of us.

We are Disneymooning next year as well! I think a split stay is a great idea! That way you get to experience more than one resort and see which one you like best for future trips, etc.

We stayed at Beach Club after our wedding, which was fabulous!!! The proximity to Epcot was great, as well as Disney's Boardwalk (perfect for a stroll). There are a TON of dining choices (not only at Beach Club, but at the Yacht Club, Boardwalk, and even the Swan & Dolphin). It was great not having to go far for food when we didn't want to. However, the BEST part hands down was Stormalong Bay - amazing. Definitely the best pool Disney has to offer.

What time of year are you going? If it's during Food and Wine a boardwalk area hotel might win out.

We loved the Poly and found it a great location as you could get the monorail to MK or walk to the TTC and get the monorail to Epcot. Watching Wishes from the beach is also very romantic.

That being said I want to stay at the Beach Club on a future visit.

I don't think you can go wrong with either. Maybe let it be a surprise.

I think the Tropical Paradse of the Poly is the perfect resort for a Honeymoon.

DH and I Disneymooned in October 2011 for 8 days at the Beach Club! We love the resort. It's great if you are going to HS and Epcot a lot. We also had park hoppers so we used the monorail to get to MK. There are a lot of restaurants in the area, too. Enjoy whichever resort you choose!

I stayed at the Poly for my honeymoon in December, 2011. We stayed in the Hawaii building (club level), garden view on the top floor. It was the most magical vacation I ever had! The CM's were outstanding, food was incredible, watching Wishes from the lounge or beach right outside the building was amazing, our room was huge and gorgeous. & you cannot beat the monorail access to 2 out of 4 parks.My only regret was not staying there my entire trip(we did a split stay of Poly & WL-WL was totally blah compared to our Poly experience.

Thanks everyone, I'm thinking Poly but my fiancé has started looking at pictures and thinks WL looks neat and I really like it there.
