I would not be amused if my daughter came home with that for homework-First, I have NO desire to have that on a TV in my house and since she has to be up at 530 for school she will be sleeping during it and not up in time in the morning to watch it before school- she leaves at 640 so between a shower, contacts, make-up, breakfast there is no time to be watching TV in the morning.
We would have had a problem, too, as we don't have cable or any network stations. I imagine it would be available online, but I don't know if it was live.
But IMO there was a hidden lesson in there about decorum and personability that is good for them to see. It doesn't always have to be nasty even when political views differ. Here in Boston, where politics gets down and dirty, every St. Patrick's Day in South Boston they have a political breakfast where everyone who's anyone in politics gets roasted. It's all in good fun and nice to have even one day where people can put their political differences aside and have a good time together.
