Any info on this property would be helpful. We have res. @ Quality Suites which I am fam. w/ but, always looking for that lower rate! TIA

I've stayed at the Homewood Suites on Palm Parkway (one intersection away from Crossroads). It was very nice. Spacious, clean, good staff and good proximity to DTD and WDW in general. It is an easy matter to dine/eat as well. There are many restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Thanks! Can you tell me if there is a private bedroom w/ a door or is it all open...can't really tell from the pics! TIA

I think the Homewood Suites you are talking about (the Maingate on Parkway Blvd.) is different from the one the poster above mentionned. I believe that one is in Lake Buena Vista (It's on Palm Parkway - confusing, I know!) whereas the Maingate one is in Kissimmee. They both look to be within a few miles of WDW. I checked out their website and have read some reviews of the Homewood Suites Maingate on another website and it all sounds positive. Based on what I've read, it does have a bedroom separate from the living and kitchen area with a door that separates the areas.

The biggest difference I can determine between the Maingate HS and the one in LBV is the size of the beds. Looks like the Maingate one has double beds whereas the LBV one has queen beds. I stayed at a Homewood Suites in Pigeon Forge, TN and just loved it. Nothing like having all of that room and a free breakfast to boot! I'll be staying the Maingate HS in a few months, and am certainly looking forward to it since I got it for $62 a night! Whereas I would have preferred the LBV location, I think that one was about $100 a night. I just couldn't see paying that much additional money. This will be my first time off-site which I was a little leery about, but based on some of the comments I've been reading on the resorts board lately, I think I've made the right decision.

If you decide on the HS Maingate and get back before mid-October, please post your experiences on the board. I'll do the same.

I will actually be there Oct 12-19. Thanks so much for the info. I feel better about reserving the room (did it last night for about $61 per night).
Now I just have to worry about those Cindy's res. tom. morning!
