Homewood Suites Lake Buena Vista

Has anyone been here lately? Are the rooms in good condition? It is advertised as being adjacent to Downtown Disney. Can you really walk there (safety and distance)? We will have a rental car, but if we ever want to split up, we are considering taking the bus to Downtown Disney and then walking to the hotel.

It is clean and well kept, with a pretty good continental style breakfast and a "social" hour in the early eveing. The social hour features drinks and snacks.

It would be possible to walk to DTD, but it will be quite a walk! You are not on Hotel Plaza Blvd., rather Palm Parkway. Homewood Suites is quite a ways down Palm Parkway. You'd have that distance then roughly a block or two to the Crossroads intersection of 535 and Hotel Plaza Blvd., then all the way down Hotel Plaza Blvd. to DTD. If you are thinking of making this walk after the a day in the parks, you may be very unhappy! I guess it all depends on how much you and your family like to walk!
