I made an extra batch of dough once and froze it, and it was such a pain!! In the time it took to thaw, then arrive to room temperature enough to work, I could have made it from scratch.
I work all day, so for me, the breadmaker is best. I put all the ingredients in, set the delay, and when I come home, I have fresh dough, ready to pizza-fy.
The money you spend in the machine will be made up in the money you save by making your own dough. And, making it easy to make your own dough, so this doesn't become a passing fancy, but the main way you make your pizza.
