Hoping someone can help me

I am going to attempt to make some this weekend. (gift)
Can homemade bath salts be packaged in mini water bottles?

Ingredients

Epsom salts
Sea salt
essential oil
Glycerin

I'd also like to try a few with Kool-Aid powder.

Thanks and Hugs
Mel

The homemade bath salts I have made in the past I put in small mason jar sealed tightly. Not sure about putting them into mini water bottles. But I would love to see pics when you are finished. :)

First, are you using essential oils (for their therapeutic properties), or are you using scent oils? If you are making bath salts with essential oils for therapeutic purposes, you should store them in glass and it should either be colored glass or the clear glass should be covered in some way. If you are just using oils for scent, you can use a regular glass jar. I don't really recommend plastic, though, unless they are going to be used up relatively quickly because the plastic is porous and will draw the oils (essential or perfume) into itself and leave the salts with less than you intended. Good luck!
I don't use glycerine in mine, so unless you have it and want to, you don't have to. Oh, and what's this about Kool-Aid? I don't know anything about using that. Share, please!

Were you wanting to use the Kool Aid powder to add color to the bath salts?

I'm not sure I'd do that... the few times I've gotten Kool Aid powder on me, it stained terribly. I would think it would stain both the skin and the bathtub.

I would have to agree with this. I do popcycles for thegirls and their faces are always stained lol

I wouldn't use plastic for the rreason stated by another poster. Glass is much better
