Hi!

I am trying to make my DD an autograph book to take on our trip in 2 weeks. Any suggestions?

If you're interested in printing some pages, there are many, many FABULOUS designs one the Creative DISign board for every character you can imagine. I didn't use those, because I was worried we'd end up being disappointed if I printed 50 pages and we only met 10 characters.

I took mat stacks (5X7 sheets of cardstock from the scrapbook section of Michaels). I had some plain colors, plus some pretty glittery paper for the princesses. I kept them in a plastic box (also found at Michaels w/ scrapbook storage stuff), which kept them safe and dry and also served as a "clipboard" for the characters to hold. We decorated the cards with stickers for the characters we KNEW we'd see at Crystal Palace, CRT, and Chef Mickeys. Then we had plenty of extra pages for the "bonus" characters we were not expecting. DH made fun of me because I tried to match the color of paper to the character. :rotfl:

Once we got home, I bought 8X8 scrapbooks for each of my DDs. On each page, I added one autograph and a photo of the girls with that character, then we added more stickers. They turned out really cute!

Sorry I'm rambling! :lmao: Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

I went super simple and got small sketch books from Michael's, embroidered stickers, and a gold paint pen. My kid's really liked them. I'd say they are about 4"X6".

We go every year and I like my kiddos to have a different looking autograph book. It's really a nice keepsake and souvenir for them. I bought a dozen blank design your own journals from Oriental Trading for about $1 a piece. I have then designed the covers using embroidered stickers, rub-ons, and other scrapbooking material. No pictures, but they're pretty cute if I do say so myself. My kids love them and the characters make over them. All together, I think I paid $20 for 12 books which last us 4 years.

The journals are about the same size as Disney autograph books.

I made mine with a photo album from the dollar tree, covered the outside and inside, cut pages from cardstock (they were cardboard) and added a scrapbook sticker to the front. DS5 doesn't do autographs for the most part so I wanted something simple and light and for halloween.

And I am pretty matchy matchy so wanted the book to match the shirt. It also makes for a great souvenier like a PP mentioned. I had about $6 total in it.

My DD and I went a few years ago and we made our own autograph books by using a spiral bound book of index cards. They are 4x6 and are perforated along the top. We had the characters sign on the back of the card on the side with no lines. While she was with the character, I took a picture of her. At the end of the trip, I pulled out the autograph and slid it into one of those cheap 4x6 photo albums and put the picture on the opposite page.
