Home from the Hospital and all is well.

My surgery was yesterday and I am home today. I had spinal fusion at the C5-6 level and the Dr. put a titanium plate in as well. The surgery went extremely well. Other than lots of pain when I swallow I am doing fine. This is normal as they have to move most of the organs in your throat around to get at the spine and I was intubated as well. I have to wear a collar for 6 weeks, but that is okay. The pain and numbness in my back and arms is GONE and was gone as soon as I woke up from the anesthesia.

Thank you all again for all of the prayers, thoughts and wishes during this most difficult time. This is a special place full of special people and it means a lot.
