What the heck is going on at Alamo/National?

We have a tripped planned for end of nov. I periodically check the rates to see if I can get a better rate. The prices for minivans have pretty much doubled today. $623.00 for a week. That's without taxes! That seems to be the price of a full size van. Could they be all sold out for pick up 11/24? Any ideas?

suggest you book something/anything with the intent to modify when the "good" rates come out...just don't select prepay or you'll get hit with the cancellation charge.

Of course, I'm still waiting for Oct. to drop.

I snoozed & losed with Dollar...waited too long (should have booked last week) & all the cheap rates are long gone for my dates.

One word: Thanksgiving. 11/24 is the Friday after Thanksgiving, everything is pretty much booked until the end of that weekend already. I understand people are finding very high rates around Christmas as well.

I don't know how long you are looking at renting a minivan, but check out Enterprise. I just looked it up and entered in 11/24 to 11/30 and came up with $419.58 with taxes. They are located at 8701 World Center Drive in Orlando.

I have used Enterprise before (when my car had to go in for repair) and they were great. Plus they rates are the cheapest I've seen, especially around Disney. Check them out.
