I remember hearing yesterday that 40% of the pools had Kansas winning!! I don't think the Villanova loss was a big upset. I think 'Nova was over ranked all year. And I have followed them since Wali Jones!! Just being realistic.

I'm so happy for UNI. What a great game for them. Lots of people just lost the team they picked to win the whole thing in their bracket. Go Panthers.

Fellow Hawkeye fan here! I'm incredibly happy for UNI though, I have a lot of friends that go there. They're definitely out celebrating tonight!

THAT was a huge upset!! While I am also a Hawkeye fan, we have really done poorly in basketball over the last 4 to 5 years. I was a bit sad that Todd Lickliter got fired, because I think he was really trying hard and is a decent guy, but the program was just getting worse and worse here at UI. Hopefully, a new coaching staff will help turn it around.

And I'm really glad that Northern Iowa, so often the "red-headed stepchild" in the 3 Regents universities here, is getting some well deserved recognition! They have a great basketball program there, and here's hoping they will continue to do well in the NCAA!

Our NM Lobos (3rd seed) are taking a blood bath with Washington.

We were also following NM, because Steve Alford was the coach here before going to NM. Acutally, DH and I are both Indiana natives, and have followed Alford ever since he was Mr. Basketball from New Castle in Indiana. He had quite the season this year there, it is too bad it ended earlier than most people had thought.

Wow! That definitely shakes things up. My Hummelless Boilermakers are on tomorrow.

And as a Purdue alum, I was really happy to see them make it to the Sweet 16! Their game against Texas A & M was scary, though. I was not sure they could pull it off. And I sure wish Hummel was back in action. It is going to be tough against Duke, but hey, if Northern Iowa can beat Kansas, ANTHING can happen, right?
