Hollywood & Vine vs Mama Melrose's

We just ate at H&V last week for the FDP and it was mom's favourite meal of the whole week. She said the chicken was wonderful as was the pork. I was nervous after I booked it because of some of the poor reviews here but she was very pleased. She also loved all 4 pieces of dessert she tried.

I was also pleased with the service. The waiter was promt with drink refills and the manager was very understanding when I explained that because of medical reasons I can't eat large meals so they only charged me a child's meal. I ended up making what looked like a sampler tray for my meal and enjoyed everything I tasted.
