Hollywood & Vine, Breakfast or Lunch?

We want to do the character meal at H&V since my kids LOVE Little Einstiens. I was planning a late breakfast (11ish) here and doing Pizza Planet for dinner. We would eat something light like a bowl of cereal before leaving our resort. We want to see the 3pm car parade & the lights but probably will skip Fantasmic.

BUT I am interested to hear what people think of the lunch buffet? It will be 6 adults & 2 kiddos: me, DH, our 2 boys and my sisters. The other adults are likely to have a TS dinner elsewhere. This will be our main meal so lunch may be better but it I tend to think buffets are 'safer' at breakfast.

Any recent lunchers?

Last year we had a late ADR near the end of the breakfast schedule. As we ate they converted half the buffet to lunch items and we basically ate brunch. My DD loved the interaction with the characters. The place was almost deserted so she had them mostly to herslelf.

I went to the breakfast last year and loved it!!! So did my son! This year the kids and I are going to lunch, Monday actually. When I come back I wikll be sure to update you on the lunch.
The character interaction was excellent.
