Hi. Based on your experiences at HS post Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge, would you consider HS a 2 day park? Just wondering if I should devote more than one day. I’m going solo in May. I like to stop and smell the roses so to speak. That’s my touring style and I love rides too of course and will ride the same ride more than once if I like it. Before the new additions I would spend a little less than a full day there, doing what I want to do. I’m also taking into consideration that there are no fast passes currently.

Depending on wait times for Millenium Falcon, MMRR, and Slinky Dog, yes, it may take 2 days for DHS, especially if you want to repeat something. We usually plan two days, or at least a day and a half, there, even though there aren’t any shows currently. We’re not park open to close folks, though; we’re more “arrive late and stay until just before close” folks.

We just did two days at DHS this past weekend. Did we need two days to do it all? Not sure. But it made it a lot less stressful. The first day we didn’t even bother with TSL. Second day that was our priority. We were lucky and got boarding passes both days. We also did sci fi one evening and didn’t have to worry about “wasting” park time. We did Savi’s as well so that took up time.

The first day we left early, around 4pm, because the kids wanted to swim. We were able to do that since we knew we had the second DHS day.

We went to HS for one day during January. We saw and rode all that we wanted to ride/see. We got there close to opening and then left before closing because we had finished riding everything. The only thing we didn't ride was slinky dog, but had we wanted to ride it, we definitely could have in the one day span.

I say book two days, especially if you have a hopper. This way if you feel you are finished with HS on the second day you can head over to another park after 2pm.

It depends on how long the waits for the major rides are.
There are fewer shows now, so not as many attractions to pull large numbers of people in at once.

While some shows are closed, there are still a good few that are running.

OP, you didn't say how long you are going to be there. If you're there at least a week I'd definitely do two days at HS. It's a great park to take in at a leisurely pace and plenty to do. It has gone from my #4 to my #2 park in the past few years!

I have a 4 day non park hopper pass. I was debating skipping Epcot for a 2nd day at HS. I love Epcot but I’m more interested in experiencing the new stuff. I may upgrade to a park hopper though. I’m also going to Universal in October possibly so I can always visit Epcot for a day then if I really want to go.

Since your main goal is to see the new stuff at HS, I’d book two HS days. One on your first or second day and a second HS day for your last day. Then if after your first HS day you did everything you can try to switch your second HS reservation to Epcot.

Yeah no, I don't skip Epcot for two days at Studios, too big of a trade-off on a four day ticket.

Same. Frankly without most of the shows it is still a half day park for us. HS is exhausting—like a hot dog eating contest but with rides instead of food—you do a whole lot of intense fast-paced rides one after the other and then feel like you’ve had wayyy too much and are done. Epcot is more laid back multi-course meal with good conversation.

I do like Galaxy Edge but you can’t spend a whole day there especially now without tje character interaction they used to have. The rest of the park is just meh though. And I miss Fantasmic.

Yes

HS 2 days - yes

the wait times seem to have jumped up since i went a couple weeks ago. I hadn't been to WDW in a good 5-6 years and hollywood blew me away. you also may want to give yourself 2 chances at "Rise" in case you miss it your first try (7am reservation on the app)

the rise experience is worth the second full day there alone IMO. that is the king of all experiences right now in the game.
