Hollywood Studios wedding

Hello all!

I have been looking around on here to start to get ideas for our 2011 wedding. I know I saw some pictures for a reception at the Great Movie Ride with the dance floor being under the sorcerer hat. I can't seem to find those pictures now. Does anyone know where I can find them? This type of reception is something that DF and myself are considering. Thanks!

I know there was someone who did a private firework show outside the hat (when it was still "MGM", which I think will be gone by 2011?!!?! the best way to search the forum is to go to google and type site:disboards.com and then whatever you want to search for!

I know Janet2K had her VR at the Great Movie Ride, but she is no longer on the Dis. I don't know if they deleted her posts and TR's or not, but you can try a search by her user ID and see. She had some awesome parties at Disney.

Here is where she has posted all the lovely pics from her vow renewal. I would love to do something like this! I've emailed my planner about it and am waiting to here back. A dance floor is really important to us, and you cannot have one at the Great Movie Ride. Being under the hat would work great...

I couldn't imagine that truly happening because the park needed an "Icon" like all the other parks. Yes they could go back to the Chinese Theatre as the focal point, I forgot what it looks like. LOL.

From what I've heard, the hat isn't going anywhere any time soon. The company that owns the real Chinese theatre in LA doesn't want Disney to be able to use that building facade so the hat will stay in place so that the GMR cannot be photographed without obstruction.
