Hollywood Studios: Tower of Terror open?

I heard something on other disney boards that the tower of terror is closed down right now? Is there any truth to this? If so, does anyone know when it will be open again? We are going next week (3/20-3/27) and that's our FAV ride!!

According to Allears:



The Backlot Tour at Disney's Hollywood Studios is closed now through March 27, 2010.

The Studio Catering Company at the Studios closed. It is expected to reopen on March 22, 2010.

I haven't heard that.

It is going to have some new effects added to it for Summer Nightastic at some point,but I don't know if that will require it to be down for a while or if they can do the work after hours.

I rode it 3 days ago and it was open. I am at wdw now and there was a really bad storm yesterday could it have been closed for a while due to the lightning??

I'd vote for no, as it's inside..... and I'm sure there's a lightning rod on that building. The queue might have been closed for a little bit, but I'm sure the ride would still be operating.

There are lots of lightning rods on that building. In fact, lots of lightening rods in the entire park. Take a good look at Mickey perched up high on top of Crossroads the next time you enter DHS. His head is tilted to the side b/c one of his ears is a lightening rod.

I forgot about that one! I checked the Rehab schedule on disneyworld.com and Tower of Terror isn't on there. I have a feeling all the work will be done on it after hours.
